Chapter 10: Ashlee

The club was decorated in a pink, purple, and teal explosion. The guys joked this was the Warrior’s new colors. We were holding a joint birthday party for Kenna, who just turned two and Rowan, who was turning five tomorrow, the twenty-first of October.

In addition, we were on contraction watch. Harlow had been having Braxton-Hicks contractions for the past few days. She still had four weeks until her due date, but there was always a chance she could go early. Rowan told her she wanted the baby to be born on her birthday. Harlow had laughed and told her she’d try.

Alannah had done her baking magic and created a gorgeous Disney Princesses cake for the girls. From what I understood, all the guys had been busy the last few weeks shopping for little girl stuff. This included the single guys. Devil had bounced his ideas off me when he was deciding on his gifts.

The party would start at one o’clock. The food wasn’t going to be your typical hotdogs. No, it was going to be the girls’ two favorite types of food. In Rowan’s case, she loved Mexican and Kenna, even at two, was partial to Chinese. To say the feast would be eclectic was an understatement. However, with so many great cooks, they were able to do all the cooking. I could cook well, but they were great. Ms. Marie had been teaching her many recipes and secrets to me along with some of the others.

It was ten o’clock, and the guys had just gotten out of church not too long ago. We were waiting for Bull and some of his guys to come in for the party. He liked to say all the Warrior kids were his grandkids. All of them called him grandpa. He loved it.

I also knew he was anxious to have his real granddaughter get here. She was going to be such a poor little thing when she got old enough to date. Just imagine, an older brother, Lord knows how many pseudo brothers, a million biker uncles, her dad, and grandpa who were both club presidents. She’d be lucky if she was allowed to go on a date when she turned seventy!

I was setting another one of the tables when Devil Dog came in with Jayce. He was helping to watch him and keep Angel entertained outside with the other bigger kids. He came over and gave me a kiss. I got lost in it until someone cleared their throat. I broke away to find Bull standing there with a big grin on his face. I laughed and blushed. He shook his head.

“I can see another good woman has been brainwashed. Shit, if I’d known what would happen when I allowed that no good Terror to have my little girl…” He gave a tortured sigh while winking at me. I laughed. I could see Terror was coming up behind him. He’d said it so he could hear it.

Terror jumped in just like Bull knew he would.
